Today our Senior rankings continue with the Top Small School Quarterback Prospects (Bio/Stats links included):

1) Bryan Bennett ~ Southeastern Louisiana (Oregon Transfer)

2) Quinn Epperly ~ Princeton (Tailback/Receiver Prospect?)

3) Chris Bonner ~ Colorado State-Pueblo

4) Max Shortell ~ Jacksonville State (Minnesota Transfer)

5) Kevin Rodgers ~ Henderson State

6) Andrew Manley ~ Eastern Illinois (New Mexico State Transfer)

7) Austin Sumner ~ South Dakota State

8) Paul Jones ~ Robert Morris (Penn State Transfer)

9) Kevin Arduino ~ American International College

10a) Damien Fleming ~ Florida A&M

10b) Mike Nebrich ~ Fordham University (Connecticut Transfer)

***

Others Worthy of Honorable Mention:

Devontae Payne ~ Findlay College (Eastern Michigan Transfer)

Trent Hurley ~ Delaware (Bowling Green Transfer)

Taylor Heinicke ~ Old Dominion

Mike Perish ~ Indiana State (Western Michigan transfer)

DD.comment: At very this early stage, Bryan Bennett, a transfer from Oregon, is the only small school senior quarterback prospect that is clearly expected to be drafted next spring. He is way ahead of the pack, but that doesn't mean things can't change, as most of the players in our top 10 possess solid pro size, arm strength and have the potential to raise their stock significantly with a strong senior year.

We've been told Quinn Epperly of Priceton, who was recruited to play quarterback at Texas A&M and is an outstanding athlete, is getting plenty of attention as a potential N.F.L. running back or wide receiver prospect. Some are even comparing him to Rich Gannon, an athletic quarterback at Division 1-AA Delaware, who was selected in the 4th round of the 1988 draft by the Patriots as a running back. Epperly is currently viewed as a possible latter round draft pick...Damien Fleming, Taylor Heinicke and Mike Nebrich, who are not ranked as high as Epperly, are also considered excellent athletes, who could garner looks at other positions, if N.F.L. teams don't see them as viable pro quarterback prospects.

***

Nelson Agholor ranks 2nd, as CBS Sports draft tracker lists his Top Prospects from the University of Southern California

***

With the last draft completed, we've decided to start ranking the seniors for the 2015 N.F.L. Draft. With a lot of help from several good friends, who are very well connected to pro scouts and player personnel men, we recently began the process of ranking the senior prospects, position-by-position.....Hopefully the rankings we post in the next few weeks will give fans a fairly accurate snapshot of how many N.F.L. scouts currently view the top senior prospects -- none of our sources will go on record regarding the underclassmen.

Doesn't mean things won't change significantly by next year, as the top players still have to stay healthy, perform well as seniors and impress at all-star games, the Combine and personal workouts. Nothing is guaranteed, even for the currently top rated prospects.

Today we will kickoff our ranks with the Top Senior Cornerbacks (Bio/Stats links included):

1) Ifo Ekpre-Olomu ~ University of Oregon

2) Wayne Lyons ~ Stanford University

3) Josh Shaw ~ Southern California

4) Tim Scott ~ North Carolina (Free Safety/Cornerback)

5) Steven Nelson ~ Oregon State

6) Deshazor Everett ~ Texas A&M

7) Quandre Diggs ~ University of Texas

8) Cam Thomas ~ Western Kentucky

9) Damian Swann ~ University of Georgia

10) Byron Jones ~ University of Connecticut

***

Top Honorable Mentions:

Adrian Amos Penn State (Free Safety/Cornerback)

Ladarius Gunter ~ Miami

Demetrious Nicholson ~ Virginia

Doran Grant ~ Ohio State

Cody Riggs ~ Notre Dame

DD.comment: At this point, and it's still very early, Ifo Ekpre-Olomu and Wayne Lyons are ranked ahead of all the other senior cornerbacks by a fairly wide margin. Both seem to be in that first round area.
